Arie van der Spek
Appointed Managing Director of the Man Liquid Product division (“MLP”) in 2016.
After completing his masters in law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) in 1995, he joined ED&F Man as a spice trader and subsequently moved to the coffee division. He was located in Asia and London before returning back to the Netherlands. After leaving in 2001 to work for a mineral oil trading company he re-joined ED&F Man in 2007 as senior molasses trader for the Asian region. He was promoted to Managing Director of MLP EMEA in 2012 and assumed the overall division global responsibility in December 2016.
Arthur W. Huguley, IV (“Whit”)
Appointed in 2015 from President to Managing Director-Americas of ED&F Man Liquid Products, Whit possesses over forty years’ of experience in the molasses industry. Whit is responsible for guiding over 250 employees in the United States, Canada, Mexico and other locations. The activities of the business include global molasses trading and distribution, fish oil trading and distribution, other agricultural product trading and one of the largest North American animal feed manufacturers, Westway Feed Products.
Originally from the New York City area, Whit relocated to New Orleans when he enrolled in Tulane University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Whit has been a resident of New Orleans since attending college and New Orleans is where he and his wife, Maureen, chose to raise their three children. Whit currently serves as a Director on the Board of the America Feed Industry Association and participates in the International Fishmeal and Fish Oil Organization. In addition to his professional career, Whit is very active with several civic organizations and serves on the Boards of the following non-profit organizations: LCMC Health, St. Michael Special School, Community Sailing New Orleans and HeartGift.
Ian Falshaw
After earning his masters in Classics at Pembroke College, Oxford, Ian completed his Chartered Accountancy qualification with Price Waterhouse in 1996 before working for the airport retail business Alpha Airports PLC for three years. He joined ED&F Man in late 1998, initially as Finance Controller in Jamaica in the Ethanol business. Ian moved to the US in 2001 and has worked in a number of financial roles within the Westway/ED&F Man businesses. He was appointed CFO of the MLP Division in July 2016.
